Required Education Courses

Your Hopscotch Adoptions service agreement contains an assigned curriculum within the section named, “Adoption Education Summary.” Failure to complete and document your required education could result in a delay or cancellation of your adoption.

Specialized Learning Packages

One or more of the following Educational Packages will be required to be completed by each Prospective Adoptive Parent. Hopscotch will inform you of which package(s) is to be completed at the appropriate time within your adoption journey. Child Specific Referral Training Courses

One or more of the following Educational Courses may be required to be completed by each Prospective Adoptive Parent, once you have been officially matched with a child by the foreign government’s Central Authority or Competent Authority. Hopscotch will inform you which course(s) is/are to be completed prior to traveling to complete your adoption or take guardianship of your future child(ren). Failure to complete and document your required education could result in a delay or cancellation of your adoption.

Additional Prospective Adoptive Parent Training

Preparation and training of prospective adoptive parent(s) in incoming cases 22 CFR 96.48 (a-h)

Each Prospective Adoptive Family has received a copy of the two country specific documents below. Once upon initial inquiry, in addition to contracting with Hopscotch, upon notification of travel and once more upon review in your Child Specific Referral Counseling, in preparation for your impending adoption.  

If you do not recall having been provided these documents, you can access each of them again through the links below.  Be sure to search for your future child’s country of origin to ensure you have received the correct information and document your having received this information in your education log.  Failure to complete and document your required education could result in a delay or cancellation of your adoption.

How to access your AdoptEd:

  1. Select the course or learning package to "purchase," then add to cart with the green "purchase" button.
  2. Users will need to either create a new account, or log into existing account. 
  3. On the "Complete your purchase page" enter your Hopscotch agency coupon code, hopscotchadopted and "Apply" to see coupon value applied to total.  Once the coupon is applied successfully, choose "Enroll Now" to access the course.
    1. Once you have successfully placed your "order" you will be redirected to a page to "Start Learning" where you can begin this course at no additional charge to our valued Hopscotch clients.  
    2. A “receipt”, indicating you have not been assessed any additional fees for this valuable education, will be emailed to you, but you can view your “receipt” in "My account" "Order History." 


Visit "My Dashboard":

  1. To begin or continue any additional course(s) already “purchased”.
  2. To see the course(s) overview
  3. To view your completed certificate(s) or to view the resources available on the completion page:
    1. Open a completed course and links will be available in the upper left.  User can also review the quiz or audio here as well.


My Account Menu:

  1. Update Profile – to add, remove or update a joint owner
  2. Password – update or change your password
  3. Certificates – see all completed certificates
  4. Order History – access all “receipts” and view course expirations


New users will need to create an account at checkout, or returning users will need to log in. Use "hopscotchadopted" at check out to access your educational courses without any additional fees, as our gift to you, our valued Hopscotch families.
