  • How many credit hours are the AdoptEd courses?

    Each 1-hr course includes a 1-hr audio interview with top experts and is followed by a 10 question quiz. Scores of 80% or higher on the quiz entitle the learner to a Certificate of Certificate for one credit hour.

  • I am having a technical issue who do I contact for assistance?

  • What if my partner and I both need a certificate of completion?

    Certificates of completion will be issued in the name(s) of the registered user. We value the education of both spouses/partners and therefore encourage users to register individually and complete the courses on their own for maximum education benefit. However, If your agency allows you and your spouse/partner to complete courses together, then you can select joint account on the checkout form and enter the additional name of your spouse/partner to the account. Both names will appear on one certificate. See Video: How Do I Create a New Account?

  • How long do I have access to course content?

    Your course will remain active for 6 months or (180) days from purchase date. You can download course audio for future reference. A copy of your certificate of completion will remain accessible in your account under your profile settings.

  • What is the difference between AdoptEd and Social Workers (CE)?

    AdoptEd for Parents courses are intended to provide adoptive parent training both pre and post adoption. They come with Certificates of Completion if required by your adoption agency. These courses may also be used by social workers in fulfillment of their continuing education requirements, but they have not been approved for CE credit by an approval body. You will have to submit the courses on your own to your licensing board. The cost is $20 per course unless you are working with one of our partner agencies. Partner agencies provide their clients with a passcode to use at checkout, which will provide you with free/discounted access. Ask your agency if they are an Education Partner or an Impact Partner with Creating a Family. If they are not, but would like more information, have them contact us via the link on our Partners page.

    In our catalog we also offer "Foster Parenting" courses that are geared to foster parents and kinship caregivers. These courses provide in-service training opportunities on a variety of topics helpful to those caring for children who have experienced trauma. Users receive a certificate of completion to share with their social workers or agency staff upon successful completion of the course. The cost of these courses has been discounted by a scholarship fund to reduce the cost of foster parent training.

    AdoptEd CE for Social Workers includes one-hour courses that have been approved for social worker continuing education by the Association of Social Workers Boards. The cost is $20 per course. Discounts and free unlimited access are provided to our partner agencies.

  • I don't have a PayPal account, how can I pay?

    The payment processing button opens in a "pop up" window, so please ensure your browser allows that window to open. Users can pay as a "guest" with Visa, MasterCard, or Discover, so you do not need to have a PayPal account set up.

  • How can my agency obtain a coupon code?

  • How long do I have access to course content?

  • How do I update my profile, download certificates, or change my password?

    Visit your Account settings in the upper right corner. Go to your name and click for the drop-down menu, select "My Account". You can update your name and information in "Profile" or change your password in "Password". You can download any certificates earned in "Certificates" and see your past orders in "Order History".

  • What is your refund policy?

    We will work with you to resolve any problems. If we are not able to solve your problem, we will give you a full refund within 7 days of the date of purchase. Please refer to our grievance policy or contact the Education Director at [email protected] for further information.

  • It's been over a year and my agency is requiring I retake my course. I passed the quiz, but the certificate date has not updated.

    If you need to receive an updated certificate of completion, please email [email protected] after you passed the quiz. We will verify the timestamp of completion and reissue a new certificate of completion.
