In this course we will cover why kids may struggle with behaviors during holidays and what parents can do about it. The instructor will be Erin Nasmyth is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master’s in Social Work. She is the co-founder of Adoption Support Alliance, which provides services and support to adoptive families. She has worked in the public and private adoption and foster care system.
This course covers the following learning objectives:
- List 3 behaviors that a foster, adopted, or kinship child might exhibit during the higher stress/excitement period during the holidays.
- List 3 examples of how a parent can help a child connect with the new extended family.
- Explain how to support a child that may feel overwhelmed during the holidays.
