In this course we will cover the Reasonable and Prudent Parent Standard and how to apply it as a resource parent. The instructors will be Rhonda Serrano, a senior attorney at the ABA Center on Children and the Law. Prior to this, she spent over 20 years representing children in their dependency cases at the Maryland Legal Aid Bureau.
Kate Schultz is the Deputy Director at Foster Family Alliance of North Carolina and a licensed foster parent. She has a master's degree in trauma-informed education and works with resource parents and professionals involved in child welfare across North Carolina.

- Explain the difference between a service and an extra-curricular activity.
- List who in the foster child's life is required to follow the Reasonable and Prudent Parent Standard.
